License
ChemPencil is distributed through the Mac App Store (macOS edition) and the Microsoft Store (Windows edition). Your use of ChemPencil is governed by the terms of the store you obtained it from:
- On macOS, the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, specifically the Licensed Application End User License Agreement ("Standard EULA") between you and codemaker, the licensor of ChemPencil.
- On Windows, the Microsoft Services Agreement and the Microsoft Standard Application License Terms between you and codemaker, the licensor of ChemPencil.

trademark of codemaker. Chemical file-format names
(MOL, SDF, RXN,
RDF, CDXML, SMILES,
InChI) are used for interoperability and are
property of their respective owners.

Documents you create with ChemPencil belong to you. ChemPencil does not upload, share, or claim any rights in content you produce. See our Privacy Policy.
No warranty for scientific correctness
ChemPencil is a drawing and cheminformatics tool. Its calculated properties, nomenclature output, InChI / InChIKey values, and predicted spectra are computed from established open algorithms and are provided as-is, without any warranty of accuracy or suitability for a particular purpose. You are responsible for verifying any result before relying on it for research, regulatory, safety, or clinical decisions.
Third-party components
ChemPencil includes open-source components used under their respective licenses. A full list of components and licenses is available on request from support@chempencil.app.
